Today is World Refugee Day! It’s time to remind the world we can be a welcoming and compassionate nation — and activists like us can lead the way!
Every year there is a “cap” on the number of refugees the United States will resettle. But with every new administration this cap seesaws up and down, driving chaos and instability. Congress could stop presidents from treating refugees like political pawns by setting a minimum of 125,000 refugees each year.
Let's come together to restore the United States as a safe haven for those fleeing conflict and persecution by setting a goal of no less than 125,000 refugees per year, can you take 1 (one) minute and sign on to a joint letter:
Call your member of Congress (202) 224-3121 to increase the refugee limit to 125,000.
