In response to recent GOP Republicans shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate is the People’s House and must be held accountable to the will of the people. How dare any representative sit in the People’s House or Senate and not do the People’s work. We are organizing to elect and hold our leaders accountable. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.

President Joe Biden on Thursday suggested that Congress should return to Washington early to pass more disaster aid in the wake of two major hurricanes, warning that federal emergency funds for small businesses are nearly exhausted.
