A new Senate majority offers fleeting chance at changing the culture
Washington Post By Paul Kane
This 118th Congress is on track for a record low level of production, with just 106 public laws approved in the first 22 months of its two-year session. People Power United’s Statement on Congressional Accountability
People Power United declares GOP Republicans in the House and Senate have become unhinged.
In response to recent GOP Republicans shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate is the People’s House and must be held accountable to the will of the people. How dare any representative sit in the People’s House or Senate and not do the People’s work. We are organizing to elect and hold our leaders accountable. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.
