The Washington Post Harris campaign launches new ads continuing to tie Trump to Project 2025
Wednesday, August 28, 8:36 AM |Â By: Amy B Wang
Vice President Kamala Harris's campaign is launching a new ad campaign this week that will continue to tie Donald Trump to Project 2025, an aggressive right-wing agenda touted by the former president's allies and written by several of his former administration members and appointees.
As part of a major ad push leading up to the first scheduled presidential debate between Harris and Trump on Sept. 10, the campaign plans to run daily television and digital ads in battleground states warning of the dangers of Project 2025, seen as a blueprint for a possible second Trump term â though one Trump has recently disavowed.

WASHINGTON â Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign for president launched a new television and digital ad blitz Wednesday warning voters of the Project 2025 conservative policy blueprint.
"Donald Trump's back, and he's out for control, and he has a plan to get it. It's called Project 2025," a narrator says in the ad while showing clips of the former president saying, "I would have every right to go after them" and "I will wield that power very aggressively."

Walz previewed some likely debate lines to be used by Harris Wednesday â including insisting that the Republican nominee would use conservative activists' controversial Project 2025 as a rubric for governing if he retakes the White House, despite Trump's denials.
HuffPost Rep. Jasmine Crockett Mocks JD Vance With 1 'Simple' Description
Thursday, August 29, 1:03 AM |Â By: Ed Mazza
She said Vance's ideas come from the extremist Project 2025 right-wing policy documents, 'and a lot of that agenda kinda has their own definition of what Christianity looks like and what Christian families look like and what we all should be doing.'
The Hill Harris campaign launches Project 2025 ad blitz to run until Election Day
Wednesday, August 28, 8:00 AM |Â By: Alex Gangitano
Vice President Harris's campaign launched an ad blitz focused on Project 2025 and linking former President Trump to the conservative policy plan.
The Project 2025 ad series will run until Election Day and is paid for by the $370 million in paid media the campaign reserved between Labor Day and Nov. 5. The campaign is aiming to have voters in battleground states 'hear every single day about the existential danger Trump's Project 2025 agenda poses to American democracy, freedom, and the middle class.'
NBC News Project 2025 condemned by bilingual campaign aimed at Latino voters
Wednesday, August 28, 5:57 PM |Â By: Nicole Acevedo
Seven advocacy organizations that have been working to engage Latino voters ahead of the presidential election found that many of them are familiar with Project 2025, but few understood the specifics behind the 900-plus-page conservative policy plan and its potential impact if implemented.
These groups, most of which are left-leaning or progressive, are coming together under a new coalition to launch a bilingual campaign condemning Project 2025 and its stances on specific issues that are important to Latino voters â such as education, health care access, reproductive rights, climate change and immigration, as well as jobs and workers rights.
Threats to Democracy:
MSNBC Project 2025 would enable Donald Trump's worst instincts as commander in chief
Wednesday, August 28, 5:18 PM |Â By: Joy Reid
If he wins a second term, Trump has expansive and draconian plans for the military. He's already plotting to fire top military leaders who don't share his vision â an idea straight out of Project 2025:
Firing top officers is one of many ways Project 2025 seeks to rebuild a military it refers to as 'Barack Obama's general officer corps.' In addition to calling for firing and freezing promotions for generals, Project 2025 also wants to rebuild and retrain the military. It would require all public schools to administer the military entrance exam for recruitment.

POLITICO House GOP braces for preelection spending drama
Thursday, August 29, 1:00 AM |Â By: Jordain Carney
'This is simply the latest example of Republicans holding the government hostage to enact their Trump Project 2025 agenda,' DeLauro said in a statement, warning that the plan would 'hurt the middle class and the economy.'
Misinformation, lies, and rhetoric efforts to subvert our freedoms, rights, democracy, and the rule of law
Project 2025 proposes that a second Trump presidency should gut funding for public broadcasting and âreexamineâ the relationship between the White House and reporters.Â
Project 2025 demands to end public funding for NPR, PBS, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, echoing years of conservative attacks on public media organizations.Â
The proposal also encourages a potential Trump administration to âreexamineâ its relationship with media outlets and organizations, including the White House Correspondents Association, and suggests that reporters should not have a âpermanent spaceâ in the White House.
Of note, former President Donald Trump and his allies have a long history of hostility toward the press, including during the 2024 presidential campaign, and some of Trumpâs key allies have openly threatened retaliation against specific journalists and outlets if Trump is reelected.Â
Project 2025, right-wing media, and Trump zero in on dismantling the Inflation Reduction Act
Project 2025 proposes gutting several federal offices that oversee efforts to address climate change and rolling back the bulk of the Inflation Reduction Act, and the Trump campaign appears to agree.Â
While the Trump campaign has sought to distance itself from Project 2025, the campaignâs rhetoric on the Inflation Reduction Act appears to align with the project, calling for eliminating electric vehicle subsidies, repealing the infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), and suggesting that renewable energy does not work.Â
Fox News has joined Trump in taking aim at the Inflation Reduction Act, which has been a boon to job growth and clean energy development â especially in red states, as the IRA has created nearly 200,000 jobs across 160 Republican districts.
The Heritage Foundation, Project 2025âs lead organizer, recently promoted an apprenticeship program that opens up workers to increased exploitation, demonstrating a pattern of pretending to endorse a pro-worker agenda while advancing contradictory policies that benefit employers at the expense of labor.Â
In a new article, Heritage argues for a return to Trump-era apprenticeship policies that left new workers vulnerable by creating a two-tier workforce, and it disparages unions as detrimental to the working class.Â
Heritage also criticized President Joe Biden for ensuring that most federal infrastructure contracting projects are covered by collective bargaining agreements, a decision that was seen as a major win for organized labor.Â
