In response to recent Supreme Court shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The Supreme Court has become unhinged. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.

NBC: Justice Elena Kagan elaborates on potential Supreme Court ethics code enforcement
Lawrence Hurley reports that on Monday Justice Kagan outlined “how the Supreme Court's new ethics code could be improved if it had an enforcement mechanism, rejecting claims that the idea she has proposed would be ineffective.”
New York Times: Kagan Sees Threats to Everyday Rights Beyond Abortion
Jodi Kantor reports that on Monday Justice Kagan spoke about the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs, saying “that Americans were right to worry about the future of rights that form the fabric of their everyday lives — such as access to contraception and interracial and gay marriage.”
Washington Post: Justice Kagan: Lower court judges could enforce Supreme Court ethics code
Ann E. Marrimow reports on Justice Kagan’s comments Monday at NYU Law School, during which she expanded on her recent suggestion that the Chief Justice “appoint an outside panel of highly experienced judges to review allegations of wrongdoing or questions about recusal decisions by the justices.” She brushed aside concerns about whether lower-court judges would be up to the task of holding justices accountable.
