In response to recent Supreme Court shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The Supreme Court has become unhinged. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.

CNN: GOP-led states urge Supreme Court to pause EPA plan meant to cut methane emissions by 80%
John Fritze reports that on Tuesday, Republicans in Oklahoma and 23 other states asked the Supreme Court to “halt a Biden administration effort to reduce emissions of the planet-warming gas methane, adding to a series of emergency appeals challenging environmental regulations.” The EPA rule went into effect earlier this year, and is estimated to “slash methane emissions from oil and gas operations by nearly 80% through 2038.”

New York Times: Special Counsel Revises Trump Election Indictment to Address Immunity Ruling
Alan Feuer and Charlie Savage report that “federal prosecutors on Tuesday issued a pared-down version of an indictment accusing former President Donald J. Trump of plotting to overturn the 2020 election, stripping out some charges and tweaking others to help the case survive the Supreme Court’s recent ruling granting former presidents broad immunity.”
