In response to recent Supreme Court shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The Supreme Court has become unhinged. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.

The Hill: Majority of Republicans support Supreme Court reforms in Biden’s proposal: Poll
Sarah Fortinsky reports on a new USA Today/Ipsos poll that shows 70 percent of Republicans support a binding code of ethics for the Supreme Court. Slimmer majorities of Republicans also support President Biden’s proposed constitutional amendment (54 percent) and term limits (51 percent).

Sarah Fortinsky reports that in a recent USA Today/Ipsos poll, Clarence Thomas’s net favorability “sits at negative 15 percentage points — 27 percent favorable to 42 percent unfavorable — down 24 points from a net positive of 9 points in April 2022.”
The Guardian: US air force avoids PFAS water cleanup, citing supreme court’s Chevron ruling
Tom Perkins reports that “the US air force is refusing to comply with an order to clean drinking water it polluted in Tucson, Arizona, claiming federal regulators lack authority after the conservative-dominated US supreme court overturned the ‘Chevron doctrine.’”
