In response to recent Supreme Court shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
âThe Supreme Court has become unhinged. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,â said Laurie Woodward GarcĂa of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.

NBC: Supreme Court rejects bid to restrict access to abortion pill
Lawrence Hurley reports that on Thursday the Supreme Court ruled against the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine in their challenge of the FDAâs approval of mifepristone. The unanimous ruling found that the group did not have standing to sue.Â

Andrew Chung reports that on Thursday the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Starbucks in their challenge of âa judicial order to rehire seven Memphis employees fired as they sought to unionize in a ruling that could make it harder for courts to quickly halt labor practices contested as unfair under federal law.âÂ

Lawrence Hurley reports that on Thursday the Supreme Court ruled against âa California lawyer's attempt to trademark the phrase "Trump too small," a reference to a crude joke made about former President Donald Trump.âÂ
