Here’s How We Stand Up to Fascism
Fascism thrives in the shadows of apathy, creeping into societies not with dramatic proclamations or tanks in the streets, but through quiet indifference and inaction. It begins when good people fail to challenge injustice, ignore the erosion of rights, and dismiss threats as “it can’t happen here.” History repeatedly shows this pattern: in 1930s Europe, fascist regimes rose not just because of their loudest supporters, but because the silent majority looked away, trusting institutions or others to act. Today I want us to take a look at some of the current nominees by convicted felon and president elect Donald Trump.
The strength and stability of our democracy depend on the competence, integrity, and values of those entrusted with leadership. Cabinet nominees wield immense power to shape policies, safeguard public interests, and uphold democratic principles. That’s why it’s crucial to support nominees who are qualified, believe in science and the rule of law, and possess the temperament to lead with wisdom and responsibility—not simply follow the whims of any political figure, including Donald Trump. The nominees Donald Trump is considering are a stark reminder of the risks posed by placing personal loyalty above merit, threatening not just democracy but the well-being of everyday Americans.
Here's why the following Pam Bondi is is unfit and too extreme for the role of Attorney General:
Pam Bondi
When Republicans take back the White House, and we will be back in there in 18 months or less, you know what's going to happen? The Department of Justice, the prosecutors will be prosecuted -- the bad ones -- the investigators will be investigated. Pam Bondi on Sean Hannity, 2023
Pam Bondi’s record raises serious questions about her commitment to ethical governance.
Pam Bondi's Record: Why She Is Unqualified and Too Extreme for Attorney General
Ethical Concerns with Trump University: Pam Bondi faced criticism for accepting a $25,000 donation from a Trump-related entity while her office decided not to pursue legal action against Trump University, raising serious questions about her commitment to impartial justice.
Anti-Consumer Actions: As Florida’s Attorney General, Bondi opposed initiatives that would benefit consumers, including efforts to hold corporations accountable for fraud and predatory practices.
Partisan Loyalty Over Justice: Bondi consistently demonstrated a pattern of prioritizing partisan loyalty over the rule of law, including staunch support for Donald Trump during his impeachment trials, undermining the independence expected of an attorney general.
Attacks on the Affordable Care Act: She led Florida's legal challenge to overturn the Affordable Care Act, a move that threatened healthcare access for millions of Americans, particularly those with pre-existing conditions.
Weak Record on Environmental Protection: Bondi frequently sided with corporate interests over environmental concerns, refusing to take strong action on issues like water pollution and climate change that disproportionately impact vulnerable communities.
Support for Anti-LGBTQ+ Policies: Bondi defended Florida's ban on same-sex marriage, arguing against equality and aligning herself with discriminatory policies, raising doubts about her ability to protect the rights of all Americans.
Role in Spreading Election Misinformation: During the 2020 election, Bondi publicly spread baseless claims of election fraud, undermining confidence in democratic processes and fueling partisan divisions.
Pam Bondi’s record demonstrates a pattern of ethical lapses, partisanship, and disregard for equal justice, making her unsuitable for the role of attorney general.
Her willingness to compromise ethics for political favor, coupled with her loyalty to Trump’s agenda, signals a troubling disregard for impartiality and accountability, which are essential for any Cabinet member.
The American people deserve leaders who prioritize the common good, uphold democratic values, and respect science and reason. Pam Bondi represents a significant threat to these principles. By speaking out and demanding qualified, principled leadership, we can ensure that our government works for all Americans—not just for political elites and extremists.

Resist. Resistance and civil disobedience are powerful tools for challenging injustice and sparking change. When people collectively refuse to accept oppression and take a stand against unjust systems, they expose the cracks in those systems and inspire others to act. Civil disobedience, rooted in nonviolence and moral courage, has the power to disrupt the status quo, amplify marginalized voices, and push societies toward justice and equality. Throughout history, it has been the driving force behind transformative movements that have reshaped the world.
Stop. Stop supporting organizations and buying from companies that are encouraging Trump’s Project 2025 and MAGA’s harmful agenda. Here is a list of endorsers.
Stop. Stop settling for spaces that feel comfortable but fail to inspire action. If a social club, organization, or online community claims to champion democracy but doesn't actively grow or empower you—or the movement—to take meaningful steps forward, it’s time to reevaluate. Our mission must be to bring in more people from all ages and walks of life, expanding the reach of our cause.
While it’s wonderful to connect with like-minded individuals and share a common purpose, complacency can be dangerous. The truth is, we cannot afford to stand still while MAGA forces continue to organize and grow stronger. Every moment we spend in stagnant spaces is a moment we lose in the fight to protect our democracy and ensure a future of fairness and opportunity for all.
Let’s embrace action-driven communities that challenge us to do more, to be more, and to unite with others in building a resilient, people-powered movement. Together, we can push back against extremism and make real, lasting progress.
