Did you know that if nothing changed and America elected a Republican President and one more Republican Senator right now, there would be a National Abortion Ban, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would be slashed, and there would be zero hope for undoing the damage we have done to the planet? In time, there would be mass deportations, a rollback of same-sex marriage, and an assault on contraception and non-Christian religions.

In fact, Laurie is heading to the Supreme Court on Tuesday with other activists and groups to defend managed abortions as they hear the Mifepristone case (Food and Drug Administration v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine and Danco Laboratories v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine). See the photo above of what Laurie is bringing with her.
Let’s get something straight: The only ones qualified to decide if a medication is safe are health care providers, and the only ones who should decide what method of abortion they use is the patient getting the abortion.

The government does not have the right to violate the Founders' words and intent by claiming the "right to life" statement supports anti-abortion politics. The "right to life" actually had nothing to do with the "right to be born no matter what" and then you're on your own...it was about the right to a secure, meaningful life once you're here, born or immigrant, the right to choose the life best suited for you as long as your choices and actions don't impede the rights of other citizens.
I so want to be there tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26, as I've been there for 3 significant DC Marches. Unfortunately I must work.
