đ˘ It's time we reclaim our power
âď¸ Equal justice is not possible with a compromised Supreme Court.
It has never been a Supreme Court
It has never been a Supreme Court. The definition of "supreme" is an "authority superior to others." Firstly, the authority given to our current Supreme Court comes from the People. It is and will always be the People's Court.Â
Lawrence O'Donnell recently underscored a crucial point-the legacy of your vote extends far beyond the immediate election, potentially well beyond your lifetime. It resonates in the rulings of the Supreme Court, shaping the course of our nation for generations to come.
This week, we are seeing firsthand the legacy of voters who came out and voted for these Presidents and their Supreme Court Justices:
Bush 1 (Thomas), Bush 2 (Alito and Roberts), Obama (Kagan and Sotomayor), Trump (Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch), and Biden (Jackson).
I would submit that we are also witnessing the legacy of voters who refused to come out and vote. Folks who could not be bothered to register to vote, mail in their ballot, or go to a polling site.Â
To recap this week alone, the Supreme Court took up cases that:
Allow cities to arrest people for being unhoused
Allow doctors to let patients die if they require an emergency abortion to save the life of the patient
Allow Presidents to commit crimes without being held accountable
The second thing to note about the definition of the word "supreme" is that this court does not have an authority superior to others. Yes, the Supreme Court has power, but that does not mean it has superior authority. The people of the United States have that authority, not a group of 9 justices.
The people voted these Justices in, and the people could vote these Justices out. We could have an entirely new Supreme Court in 1 to 2 years if we:
Institute a code of ethics
Expand the court
Elect a Democratic President
Elect a Democratic majority in the House and the Senate
With Democrats taking control of the Senate, House of Representatives, and Presidency, they could abolish the filibuster and use a simple majority vote to restore balance to the Supreme Court.Â
Regardless of what the Supreme Court decides, many different organizations and activists will continue to show up to protect our communities. A people united will never be divided.
It's time we reclaim our power.Â

We must demand that the Supreme Court rule on the question of IMMUNITY for corrupt Presidents by May 20th because this date would ensure that a verdict would reach VOTERS before election day.
Thanks for taking action!

We need a Constitutional Amendment to limit Justicesâ terms. Iâd suggest 12 years. Thatâs 3 Presidential election cycles and 2 terms for a Senator. Lifetime appointments by politicians are anti-democracy.
People Power WORKS-----the same can't be said for the-------NOT-SUPREME Court !, they are known for dragging out everything, TIME TO STOP THIS, ALLOW 30 days to come to a decision or GET FIRED--FIRED--FIRED & NO SAFETY NET for them-----see how this works, change this if you DARE---THEY MUST DO THEIR JOB or suffer like everyone else.
