Hi there! I wanted to share that yesterday, I had a fantastic experience advocating for people experiencing homelessness at the Supreme Court. You can check out this article from the Washington Post and get bonus points if you spot me in the photo. Regardless of what the Supreme Court decides, I am confident that many different organizations and activists will continue to show up for the unhoused in our communities.
They want pregnant people to suffer or even die than allow doctors to provide the emergency abortion care they need
Tomorrow is the EMTALA case at the Supreme Court and you know I have my sign ready! Federal law has long protected patients from being turned away from hospital emergency rooms. That law (EMTALA) helps keep pregnant people safe in medical emergencies like pre-eclampsia, uncontrollable bleeding, and more. But this week, abortion opponents are at the Supreme Court arguing against protecting pregnant patients. Why? They would rather pregnant people suffer or even die than allow doctors to provide the emergency abortion care they need. #BansOffOurBodies

Spend more on weapons of mass destruction than taking care of community issues
Embolden a compromised Supreme Court and a criminal President
Since President Trump appointed three new justices to the Supreme Court, the MAGA majority has stripped away our right to abortion, made it more challenging to prevent school shootings, allowed big corporations to contaminate our air and water, assisted in the suppression of our votes by politicians, and much more.
Now, the Supreme Court’s MAGA supermajority threatens to take even more power to rewrite the rules in favor of special interests, billionaires, and major corporations — helping the rich get richer and the powerful gain more power — at the expense of the American people.
My question to all of us is, when is it enough?
We must demand that the Supreme Court rule on the question of IMMUNITY for corrupt Presidents by May 20th because this date would ensure that a verdict would reach VOTERS before election day.
