📢 No Kings in America: Standing Up to Trump's Authoritarian Fantasy
🗽Together, we can champion our rights, freedoms, rule of law, democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people's will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
From his first day in office, Donald Trump has acted not like a president accountable to the people, but like a narcissist playing monarch. Now, he wants to celebrate his birthday—June 14, Flag Day—with a grotesque display of power: a taxpayer-funded military parade in Washington, D.C., with costs projected to reach $100 million (MSN, 2025).
Let's be clear: America doesn't do kings.
This is not patriotism—it's propaganda. Trump lost the popular vote twice and still governs as if crowned by divine right. Nearly 80% of people in this country did not vote for him. And yet, he continues to defy court orders, target immigrants, gut public services, and rule with cruelty rather than compassion.
The Psychology of a Would-Be King
Trump's obsession with loyalty, grand spectacle, and dominance isn't random—it's classic authoritarian behavior. His plan to turn Flag Day into "Trump Day" is not about national pride—it's about consolidating power and cultifying his image.
He blurs the line between patriotism and allegiance to him personally. In Trump's world, he is America, and disagreement is treason. That's why he fantasizes about a third term, mocks judges, and surrounds himself with sycophants. But this country was born out of rebellion, not submission to a wannabe king.
A Parade of Power—and Corruption
This $100 million parade isn't a celebration. It's intimidation disguised as pageantry—a public display meant to enforce loyalty and punish dissent. And while the tanks roll down Pennsylvania Avenue, Trump and Republicans in Congress are gutting Social Security, SNAP, Medicare, Medicaid, and Veterans Services — claiming there's no money for struggling families while handing tax breaks to billionaires.
This is authoritarian corruption in broad daylight.
Enough Is Enough
This moment isn't just about Trump. It's about all of us.
If you're fed up with rising costs, civil liberties under assault, and daily attacks on our rights, freedoms, rule of law, and democracy—this is your moment to rise.
We’ve had enough of watching corrupt elites treat our country like a kingdom. It’s time to reclaim power where it belongs—with the people.
Join us for No King’s Day—a National Day of Action.
Across the country, people will be in the streets, parks, rallies, and protests—showing up and speaking out.
Hundreds of cities and towns rising together to say loud and clear: America doesn’t do kings.
We rise by standing together, not in fear, but in solidarity.
Not with cruelty, but with courage.
Not for one man—but for all of us.

I also want to let you know about an upcoming change in our programming. We’ll soon be cleaning up our list to focus on those actively engaged in our work. People Power United is a grassroots group rooted in action—and we’re reserving our communications for those who believe in the power of change and take steps to help make it happen.
If you’ve been commenting, sharing posts, signing petitions, sending letters, or attending events—you’re exactly who we want to stay connected with. If someone hasn’t participated in any way, they will be removed from our list.
There are two reasons for this:
Our mission is to make change happen, and that takes action—not just observation.
We’re being penalized by Substack, Google, and other email providers when recipients aren’t engaging. It affects our ability to reach those who do want to be involved.
Thanks so much for your continued support and understanding. Let’s keep building people power—together.
We are not just resisting—we are reclaiming, rebuilding, and rising. Let’s do it together.
