📢 On this Juneteenth, we rise in celebration—and in purpose.

On this Juneteenth, we rise in celebration—and in purpose.
Happy Juneteenth. Happy Emancipation Day. Happy Freedom Day.
Today marks more than just a date in history—it marks a legacy of resistance, resilience, and the long journey toward justice. Juneteenth, now recognized as a federal holiday thanks to President Joe Biden’s 2021 legislation, commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. But its power reaches far beyond a single moment.
It is a living reminder that freedom delayed is not freedom denied—and that our fight for a truly inclusive democracy continues.
Even as MAGA extremists work to rewrite history, suppress the truth, and roll back hard-won rights, we refuse to be silenced or erased. We honor Juneteenth not just by remembering—but by organizing, mobilizing, and building power.
We must confront those who attack voting rights and peddle voter suppression laws designed to keep Black and Brown communities from the ballot box. We must expose the politicians and policies that cloak racism in legalese and call it democracy.
Juneteenth demands more than celebration—it demands action.
Action to protect voting rights.
Action to root out racial injustice.
Action to ensure that Black Americans can fully participate in and benefit from our democracy—not just symbolically, but tangibly and equally.
So today, we recommit. To truth-telling. To power-building. To justice for the past, present, and future.
Juneteenth isn’t just a look back—it’s a call forward.
Because freedom must mean freedom for all.
