I know these are heavy days for our country—and for your inbox. Earlier this month, I joined a call with an expert on authoritarianism who confirmed what many of us have feared: America is now sliding into an electoral authoritarian regime. And today’s headlines make that crystal clear:

No matter what 34-time convicted felon Donald Trump or his complicit Republican enablers try, People Power United members and our allies in the movement will keep showing up, speaking out, and building the kind of grassroots force that puts people over profit, democracy over dictatorship, and freedom over fascism.

We know the endless wave of headlines, threats, and attacks on our rights and freedoms can feel overwhelming. If you’ve felt discouraged or alone, please know you’re not. Across the country, more and more people are rising up — because we recognize that what unites us is stronger than what divides us. We see each other’s humanity. We know that none of us is truly free until all of us are free. And we believe deeply that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and the chance to thrive.
That’s the heart of People Power United.

We keep our comment sections open for paid subscribers ($5/month) to protect our spaces from trolls, bots, and harassment. When moderators are available, we open them up for all—because your voice matters.
