A big part of who we are here at People Power United is our advocacy for equality and respect for all.
Respect is the cornerstone of progress. It is what binds communities together, creating an environment where every person’s voice matters and where collaboration can flourish. Imagine a community where respect is not just practiced but celebrated—where differences are seen as strengths and where everyone feels valued for who they are. This is the kind of community we should all strive to build: one rooted in understanding, empathy, and dignity for all. When respect leads, progress follows—innovation thrives, trust grows, and a brighter future becomes possible for everyone.
I don’t believe you can say you respect others but your actions say otherwise.
When respect is abandoned, the results are devastating. Without it, division takes hold, and walls are built where bridges should stand. Communities begin to fracture as mistrust, resentment, and fear replace connection and compassion. Voices are silenced, ideas are dismissed, and people are pushed to the margins.
The lack of respect doesn’t just harm individuals—it weakens the entire fabric of our communities, halting progress and creating a space where inequity and hostility are allowed to flourish. This isn’t just a hypothetical; it’s where we find ourselves today. If you voted for Donald Trump, radical Republicans in Congress, at the state or local level—or even chose not to vote at all—your actions have contributed to our current reality that disregards the dignity and humanity of many who call America home.
Let’s be clear about what this means: voices are being silenced, ideas are being dismissed, and entire groups of people are being pushed to the margins.
Low-income families are losing critical lifelines like Medicaid, SNAP, and affordable housing, while women face threats to reproductive freedom and gender equality. LGBTQIA+ individuals are battling efforts to restrict their rights and protections, and immigrants and refugees are targeted by harsh policies and divisive rhetoric. People of color confront systemic barriers like voter suppression and unequal policing, while religious minorities, especially Muslims, face discrimination and reduced protections.
This marginalization spans generations and professions. Students are denied access to affordable education, seniors face cuts to Social Security and Medicare, and workers lose the ability to organize and fight for fair wages. Communities impacted by pollution bear the brunt of environmental rollbacks, while journalists, scientists, and advocates for democracy face attacks that stifle accountability and progress. Indigenous communities are denied sovereignty, veterans are underserved, and healthcare recipients risk losing coverage altogether. These actions reflect a troubling pattern of neglecting the most vulnerable among us, underscoring the urgent need for respect, equity, and bold change to ensure every voice is heard and valued.
Radical Republicans, Crazed Conservatives, and MAGA cultists are showing us who they respect when they cheer for someone who disrespects most Americans and has no remorse as a convicted 34 Count Felon, Insurrectionist, Rapist, Liar, Fraudster, Disability Mocker, Female Genitalia Grabber, Twice-Impeached President, Defamer, Wife Cheater, Sexual Harasser, and someone who called our US soldiers "suckers" and "losers.”
We cannot afford to let disrespect dominate. It’s time for change. It’s time to make respect the foundation of everything we do. This means actively listening to one another, challenging prejudice, and committing to kindness and fairness in our actions. By fostering a culture of respect, we don’t just heal divisions—we create the conditions for real progress. Respect isn’t just an ideal; it’s a call to action.
Together, we can choose to build a world where everyone has a chance to thrive, where collaboration replaces conflict, and where dignity and humanity lead us toward a better future.
If we aspire to the ideals that America is the land of liberty and justice for all, we must include EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL in our nation's laws.
Two-thirds of the states have approved the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment), but the artificial deadline placed when it was initially passed by Congress in 1972 has prohibited it from being legally enacted. To eliminate the time limit, congressional Democrats have proposed a resolution (H.J.Res. 25 / S.J. Res 4) to remove this time limit barrier and add the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution.
It's been 100 years since the Equal Rights Amendment was first drafted in 1923.
This amendment seeks to guarantee legal rights for all American citizens regardless of sex. The Amendment States: "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex."
Moving forward, the Constitution should reflect the nation’s future, one in which the United States is a leader—not a follower—on the world stage and where it upholds its central tenet of equality for all, regardless of sex or gender.
According to a 2016 survey commissioned by the ERA Coalition, a whopping 94 percent of people in the United States would support an amendment enshrining gender equality into the Constitution.
While often portrayed as a world leader, the United States lags behind the 76 percent of countries around the world with constitutions that guarantee equal rights for women.
We are getting louder about advocating for the ERA and I hope you will join us to champion the respect and dignity for all by passing the Equal Rights Amendment.

Together, we can protect and empower those we love, champion our rights, freedoms, and democracy, hold our leaders accountable to the people's will, and inspire voters to make a meaningful difference.
In a democracy, the principle that "no one is above the law" is non-negotiable.
Allowing leaders to escape the consequences of their actions sends a dangerous message that power, not justice, prevails—ultimately destabilizing society and giving rise to authoritarianism.
History warns us that unchecked power leads to corruption, oppression, and the silencing of our voices, threatening the freedoms we cherish.
Now, more than ever, we need everyone to step up and stand together. Join us and be part of a movement that demands accountability and justice for all. More resources are coming, but today, please join our Not Above the Law Rapid Response Team and sign on to our Freedom Over Fascism pledge.
