She was smart; he was an idiot
Donald Trump was fired by 81 million people. — and clearly he is having a very difficult time processing that - VP Kamala Harris
What an incredible debate last night! A big thank you to everyone who joined us on Zoom. One of our members summed it up perfectly: "She was smart; he was an idiot." I couldn't agree more!
Today, we take a moment to honor and remember the 2,983 lives lost in the September 11th attacks. As we reflect, let's recommit ourselves to valuing every community member and standing strong for our rights, freedoms, democracy, and the rule of law.
Today, I'm also sharing the Daily Stop Project 2025 News Briefing—a valuable resource available to you on weekdays. You can always access it here, as it isn't normally emailed out. As activists for progress, now is the time to be mobilizing voters (with letters, postcards, phones, doors, etc) but we also have to keep sharing information and resources with people in our community about the dangers of Project 2025. Regardless of who wins the White House, these plans are not going away any time soon, and we must be vigilant in stopping this dangerous plan to move our country from a democracy to a theocratic autocracy. Stay alert, stay informed, and together, we can make a difference.

USA TODAY The things we should really fear if Trump wins a second term

Vice President Kamala Harris took aim at Project 2025 at Tuesday’s debate against former President Donald Trump—tying the ex-president to the plan even as he’s tried to distance himself from it—as Democrats and the Harris campaign have lobbed frequent attacks against the wide-ranging blueprint for a potential second Trump term.

The Washington Post Harris, Trump both want to be the change candidate. The debate had them defending their past.
Wednesday, September 11, 11:56 PM | By: Tyler Pager
During the debate, Harris tried to remind voters of the chaos during Trump's presidency, hammering her pitch that Trump would bring the country backward and tying him to Project 2025, a package of ultraconservative policy proposals put forth by Trump's allies.
Trump vigorously tried to distance himself from Project 2025, as his aides have determined it was detrimental to his reelection efforts. But even as he tried to promise change should he win, much of his rhetoric focused on returning America back to the policies of his past administration.

The Hill Policy wish lists aren't new: What makes Project 2025 unique?
Wednesday, September 11, 8:29 PM | By: Addy Bink
(NEXSTAR) — Throughout the current election season, Democrats and those trying to prevent a second term for Donald Trump have tried to tie the former president to Project 2025, the controversial plan for a future Republican president put together by the conservative Heritage Foundation think tank.
Trump has said he was unaware of the policy wishlist, and more recently, disavowed the plan, despite his close ties to many of its key architects. That hasn't stopped Democrats from warning voters about Project 2025, even turning to comedian and 'SNL' alum Kenan Thompson to highlight aspects of it during last month's national convention.

Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation blueprint for a second Trump term, says nothing about high-quality, affordable child care, but it does call for eliminating the Department of Education and preschool programs such as Head Start, a cornerstone of President Lyndon B. Johnson's War on Poverty.

“I have nothing to do with Project 2025,” Trump said in the ABC News Presidential Debate. “I haven’t read it. I don’t want to read it purposely. I’m not going to read it.”
