STATEMENT - People Power United's statement on the Indictment of former President Donald Trump

In response to the recent indictment of former President Donald Trump, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:

“Attempting to steal the people’s vote is very serious business. People Power United champions the freedom to vote on a daily basis. Voting is how we all have a voice and we all deserve a democracy that serves all of us-not just the rich and powerful. No one is above the law, and if the indictment charges hold true then our former President Donald Trump should face accountability for attempting to silence voters and steal their vote.

People Power United will continue to push back against injustices and holding our leaders accountable to the people they serve. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
