In response to recent Supreme Court shenanigans, People Power United - a progressive grassroots group - issued the following statement:
“The Supreme Court has become unhinged. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices,” said Laurie Woodward García of People Power United.
People Power United will continue to oppose such harm to our community and champion civil rights for all.

Bloomberg: US Appellate Judge Urges Caution on Judge-Shopping Rule
Suzanne Monyak reports that during the The Judicial Conference’s advisory committee on civil rules on Thursday, Judge Marvin Quattlebaum, Jr. of the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit described judge shopping as a “volatile” issue and urged the committee to be “very careful” in its approach.

Slate: Why the Supreme Court May Not Decide the 2024 Election After All
Richard Hasen argues that there have been few opportunities for the Supreme Court to intervene in the election, especially compared to the number of pre-election emergency cases in 2020. He notes that intervention after the election would be welcome if it blocks efforts to subvert the elections results, but that otherwise the results of the elections should be left to the voters.
Reuters: Election may decide if Trump's legal woes reach US Supreme Court or wither
John Kruzel reports that there are seven important lower court cases involving Donald Trump, noting that because the Supreme Court is not likely to hear any of them this term, the results of the election could determine whether they even reach the Court in the future.
