📩 Supreme Court Ruling on EMTALA in Idaho v. United States and Moyle v. United States; Statement by All* Above All

People Power United is a proud member of the United for Democracy coalition. In response to the Supreme Court ruling on EMTALA in Idaho v. United States and Moyle v. United States case, one of our fellow coalition members, All* Above All, released this statement:

WASHINGTON D.C.—Today, the Supreme Court issued its final decision in the Moyle v. United States emergency abortion care case. 

Nourbese Flint, president of All* In Action Fund, released the following statement: 

“Today the court took the politically convenient route by temporarily upholding federal protections for pregnant people five months before an election where abortion will be the key defining issue. Let’s be clear—the bar is in hell. This case should never have been taken up by the courts in the first place. Dismissing the case has everything to do with politics and little to do with protecting people’s health and safety. Anti-abortion politicians are putting people’s lives, health, and future fertility on the line to further their political agenda. It is important for us who believe in freedom, autonomy over our bodies, and a functioning democracy to understand that the majority MAGA justices are still in pursuit of power, even if it is delayed. Our communities deserve better."
