📢 This Isn’t Border Security—It’s a Fascist Power Grab
🗽The Trump administration wants to erase their names, silence their voices, and make us forget their stories. We refuse to let that happen.

Let me say this loud—for the fearmongers like Trump, Rubio, Miller, Bondi, and everyone else in the cult of obedience:
We want safe borders.
We want strong communities.
We want everyone treated with dignity and respect.
We want a country where people have the opportunity to thrive—and where due process under the law still matters.
We want our leaders to do their damn job and pass just immigration reform.
No one is asking for murderers, rapists, or violent criminals to enter this country and threaten our neighborhoods. But let's talk about who's threatening us right now—because it's not the single moms, students, workers, or fathers seeking safety.
It's the Trump administration.
Silencing voices of opposition? That's criminal.
Ignoring court orders? Criminal.
Disappearing people into foreign torture prisons after a judge says you can't? Criminal.
This is not national security. It's a fascist power grab.
This is not law and order. It's a dictatorship.
This isn't governance. It's a blatant violation of checks and balances.
This is abusing government power to punish critics or reward allies.
It's fascism wrapped in the American flag—and if we don't call it what it is and fight back with everything we've got, we all become complicit.
Due Process: Why It Matters for Every One of Us
Due process isn't legal trivia. It's your right—your shield—against government abuse. Protected by the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, it guarantees that no one can be deprived of life, liberty, or property without a fair hearing.
If you get arrested, due process gives you the right to an attorney.
If you get a parking ticket, due process gives you the right to contest it.
If you're a student facing expulsion, due process lets you tell your story.
Now imagine a government that skips all of that.
No hearing. No notice. No lawyer. Just punishment.
That's not just unjust—it's un-American.
Due process is the dam holding back authoritarianism. Let a crack form, and the flood of government overreach drowns us all.
This Is Already Happening
Andry Hernández Romero, a Venezuelan makeup artist, was deported to El Salvador's mega-prison without ever seeing a judge—accused of gang ties based on tattoos (The New Yorker, 2025). Deported mid-process, jailed abroad, no due process.
Heidy Sánchez, a Cuban mother married to a U.S. citizen, was deported 48 hours after a routine ICE check-in—leaving behind her infant and a pending green card (NBC News, 2025). Vanished after ICE check-in Family separation, no hearing, no due process.
Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian American grad student, was detained under a vague law later ruled likely unconstitutional (Reuters, 2025). Detained for protected speech. No due process.
Ximena Arias‑Cristobal, brought here at age four, was jailed by ICE after a traffic stop—without criminal charges and without a hearing (Washington Post, 2025). No due process.
Elsy Noemí Berrios, an asylum seeker, was pulled from her car—ICE smashed the window, no warrant, no explanation (ABC News, 2025). No due process.
No one should disappear in a democracy. Secret detentions and quiet deportations are the tactics of dictatorships—not constitutional democracies. When people vanish into ICE custody without explanation, families are left terrified and confused, legal counsel is locked out, and the government escapes accountability. Disappearances aren’t just bureaucratic oversights—they are a calculated way to strip people of rights, dodge oversight, and silence opposition. This is not immigration enforcement. It’s a fascist power grab masquerading as policy.
And let’s be clear: being undocumented is not a crime—it’s a civil matter. Yet a 34-time convicted felon President Trump and his Republican cult of obedience are criminalizing migrants while rewarding cronies and punishing critics. That’s how authoritarianism takes root. That’s how liberty dies. We must demand transparency from ICE and DHS—not politely, but urgently.
This is about more than immigrants—it’s about power. When due process is ignored for people like Khalil, Romero, Sánchez, Arias-Cristobal, and Berrios, it's a test: can a president erase rights and get away with it? If we fail to stop it, no one is safe—not teachers, not journalists, not you. This is the line in the sand. Will we be a nation of laws—or of strongmen crushing dissent? We must rise. For the disappeared. For the detained. For ourselves. Because when due process dies, democracy dies with it. And no one should ever live in fear of their own government.
