📢 We are now at war in the United States
The strength of a nation is not its ability to fight wars, but rather by its ability to prevent them. - Gene Roddenberry
The greatest evil is war.
I do not write these words lightly, and it pains me to say this, but we are now at war in the United States. Before you accuse me of hyperbole, please hear me out.
The definition of war from the Modern War Institute at West Point: "War happens when a society or its leader is unaccountable, ideological, uncertain, biased, or unreliable."
Unaccountable and Biased Actions by Senate and House Republicans
Spreading misinformation about election integrity – Numerous Republicans have continued to promote baseless claims of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, eroding trust in democratic institutions.
Opposing accountability for January 6th – Many Senate and House Republicans voted against establishing a bipartisan commission to investigate the January 6th Capitol attack and refused to hold colleagues accountable who defied subpoenas.
Attacking reproductive rights – Republicans in both chambers have pushed for bans and restrictions on abortion access, disregarding the healthcare needs and autonomy of women and marginalized individuals.
Opposing LGBTQIA+ protections – Senate and House Republicans have frequently voted against or failed to support measures that protect LGBTQIA+ rights, including the Equality Act, which would provide federal anti-discrimination protections.
Obstructing COVID-19 relief – Republicans in both chambers opposed various pandemic relief packages, which included direct aid to Americans, enhanced unemployment benefits, and funding for public health measures.
Advancing judicial appointments with limited oversight: Senate Republicans confirmed judicial nominees without thorough vetting, including some with controversial or extremist views, which impacts the impartiality and integrity of the judiciary.
Promoting culture wars over substantive policy – Both Senate and House Republicans have prioritized issues like banning books, targeting education curricula, and attacking critical race theory, focusing on divisive cultural issues rather than policy solutions that address pressing needs.
Blocking comprehensive gun reform – Senate and House Republicans have largely opposed background checks, assault weapons bans, and other gun control measures, despite public support for such reforms and ongoing mass shootings.
Supporting or downplaying climate denial – Many Senate and House Republicans have resisted climate legislation and continue to back fossil fuel interests, disregarding climate science and delaying action on climate change.
Blocking voting rights legislation – Republicans in both chambers have repeatedly opposed bills aimed at expanding voting access, such as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which disproportionately affects communities of color.
The fight for our rights, freedoms, democracy, and the rule of law is upon us, and it's time to take a stand. Biases and unaccountable actions by leaders threaten our nation as an insidious and covert act of war. This isn't an exaggeration; it's our reality today.
When leaders are unaccountable and biased, the consequences are felt by all. Supreme Court Justices and members of Congress who flout ethical standards and spread misinformation are undermining the very foundations of our democracy. Meanwhile, disparities in representation persist, affecting women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and young people, while leaders continue to ignore the needs of everyday Americans.
The war we're fighting isn't just about defending our nation but protecting the values that define us. As members of People Power United, we stand against hatred, bigotry, and discrimination in all forms. We are the foot soldiers for justice, fighting for a society that values equality and freedom over the forces of fascism.
If you aren't willing to take action, you're choosing to be complicit in this struggle.
Progress isn't just a concept; it's a movement. By taking action, holding our leaders accountable, and advocating for the underrepresented, we can pave the way for a brighter, more equitable future.
There are too many biases, and too many leaders are not being held accountable for their actions. Too many people are enabling this. Democracy works better when leaders represent it and people hold their leaders accountable.
Republicans don't want to represent America; they want to rule over us
Radical Republicans support troops in many parts of the world but ignore those who stand guard at our Capitol during an insurrection. We spend almost one billion dollars a day defending this nation in a "war on terror," and yet we have crumbling infrastructure with a limited budget for repairs. Children go hungry, seniors skip meds, and countless people die prematurely because of a lack of access to healthcare. Our air and water are polluted, yet those offenders continue receiving tax breaks.
Republicans don't want to represent America; they want to rule over us. And they want Donald Trump, a 34 Count Felon, Insurrectionist, Rapist, Liar, Fraudster, Disability Mocker, Female Genitalia Grabber, Twice-Impeached President, Defamer, Wife Cheater, Sexual Harasser, and someone who called our US soldiers "suckers" and "losers" to lead us.
At this point in history, if you are not actively trying to promote the best candidate to beat Donald Trump and his complicit cultish sycophants, you are part of the problem.
We must hold our leaders accountable to the people's will; if they do not listen, we must work to replace them. If you want to complain and take no action to make progress, then you are part of the problem and complicit.
I have seen your people power, and I ask that you continue to share information and ways for people to take action in our communities.

I was born into Mussolini’s Fascist Italy. I clearly and fully recognize the Party that calls itself “Republican”. It is the American Nazi Party which went underground in 1941-1942. Americans have been deceived by decades of white washed history.
Well put/explained...even scarier is the fact that if t-rump won and died in office, JD Vance would rule the country and he is directly linked to Project 2025!!
