Why I think civil disobedience helps bring awareness to an issue

I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I want to shout out Jill with Red, Wine, and Blue for capturing and sharing the video below. She recently interviewed me about civil disobedience and why it is a useful tool for democracy (as is voting, phone banking, door knocking, donating to causes and candidates, etc.). Just to clarify, I would never be a part of any action that promotes destruction to property or violence. I believe in peaceful civil disobedience. I hope you will check it out.

🗽There is no greater power than a community discovering the truth and working together to make sure an injustice is not repeated.
As long as it doesn't devolve into unnecessary violence, I agree...it's 1st Amendment protected. But there have been too many instances of police/FBI being in the crowd and inciting a riot or engaging in destruction of property to make the active group look bad. I was involved in a protest once where that actually happened.
