Women's Equality Day
"It isn't what we say or think that defines us, but what we do." ― Jane Austen
Yesterday was Women’s Equality Day which marks 103 years since women received the right to vote.
The freedom to vote and make choices over one’s body are under attack and we must push our elected leaders to speak out and defend our freedoms. We have a few easy-to-take actions that will help push for progress. Can you take a moment and send a message of support for the Equal Rights Amendment and support Planned Parenthoods efforts?
Ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA)
Dear Member of Congress,
If we are to aspire to the ideals that America is the land of liberty and justice for all, then we must include EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL in our nation's laws.
I am asking you to support the ratification of the ERA (Equal Rights Amendment).
Sincerely,
Can you take 1 (one) minute to send a message to your member of congress to ratify the ERA? We have provided a letter for you to edit or use as is. Please share your personal story about why this matters to you. Your story is powerful!
Support Planned Parenthoods Efforts
Click here to sign on to Planned Parenthood’s letter to ‘Drop the Lawsuit’
Click here to send an electronic letter to your member of Congress to support the Women’s Health Protection Act which will protect women’s health, her ability to make decisions, and her constitutional rights. It codifies Roe into law, allowing women to make their own reproductive choice without interference from politicians.
Thanks for taking action for our rights and freedoms! You are awesomeness!
Lastly, would consider giving our content some love? Believe it or not, your hearts, likes, and shares help our people powered movement. Thanks in advance for your help and kindness.

I believe in the power of the people. I have seen the love and determination of folks stepping up to write letters and postcards to voters, signing petitions and letter campaigns, making calls, sending texts, hitting doors, and dropping literature. There is no power like that of the people, and People Power United stands ready to protect our communities against any and all injustices. - Laurie Woodward Garcia, People Power United
Women are equal to men as human beings. They should NOT think they can control us. That has to stop. Thank you. I look forward to future postings and information.
