Oh my Gosh! Deflection! NOT BUYING IT! Yes, shut down would be painful, BUT, as Mary Trump (and how I feel), it would be TEMPORARY! This act opens door to decimate VITAL programs of survival to kids, elderly, OUR BELOVED VETERANS, those unable to work, not temporarily! Very hard, if not impossible, once instituted!

I'd like Schumer to be more aggressive but he made the right call. A. Causing a government shutdown allows Trump to take emergency powers and do whatever he wants and we know what he wants; B. the Democrats were going to be blamed for the shutdown because Republicans control the media; C. shutdowns have never worked in the past to bring about change because of the terrible effects they have on working Americans. People Power made a bad call. Let's unite not divide the Democratic Party.

So your advocating for "unity" for the Democratic Party by siding with all Congressional Republicans and Trump and throwing 250 Democratic members of Congress under a bus?

Democrats must vote as a block! This is our democracy, we own it! Trump works for us, so he must do what we want. It is not a business that is run by a dictator and oligarchs. We don’t want to side with Russia and neglect our allies.

You are 100% right! I am very disappointed in the senate democrats. Their reasoning was a false choice. Courts stay open during a shutdown. Reductions in force can’t happen during a shutdown. I’m not sure schumer’s family wasn’t threatened, since the guy is a mob boss thug.

Thanks for sharing. Our group has members in all 50 states and several countries. We put up one event and ask our members to calculate for their time zone. We do zero fundraising and do not have the resources to create and manage multiple events that are the same event. Thanks for your understanding and support.
