Hey y’all! Big love from Washington, D.C., where the energy is high and the movement is strong. I’m here this week to stand up, speak out, and shine a light on the power of people coming together for real progress. Earlier today I did a livestream for the Press Conference to stop the anti-American voter disenfranchisement trojan horse bill known as the Save Act. And later in the day I was at the rally for Trans Day of Visibility—because showing up matters and showing love matters even more. I even had the amazing opportunity to run into Charlotte Clymer Charlotte's Web Thoughts who is an amazing writer on Substack!

Being an ally isn’t just about wearing the right colors or saying the right things—it’s about standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our neighbors, friends, and family members. It’s about showing up for everyone who calls our community home.
Because when we say “We the People,” we’ve got to mean every single one of us. Not just the folks who share our zip code, our faith, or our background. Not just those who love or look like us. Everyone. The heart of this country beats stronger when it beats for all of us.
And let’s talk about “Justice for All.” That promise doesn’t come with a footnote. It doesn’t stop short when it reaches the margins. It must extend to every corner of our communities—to the poor, the elderly, those living with illness or disability, the LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants, people of color, and yes, to our transgender brothers, sisters, and non-binary kin.
We don’t shrink our circle of care—we expand it. We don’t gatekeep justice—we fight for it together.
So, wherever you are, I hope you’ll join me in lifting up those who’ve too often been pushed to the sidelines. Let’s be loud. Let’s be proud. Let’s build a country where no one gets left behind.
Because when all of us rise, we all rise together.
Right now, America’s bullies—those who wrap themselves in hate and call it patriotism—are targeting those who dare to live authentically, love freely, and exist outside their rigid worldview. The MAGA cult has weaponized fear and bigotry against immigrants, non-Christians, trans folks, and others they deem “different.” But here’s the thing: what they fear is not difference. What they fear is a future they cannot control—one where we are united, not divided.
Let me say this loud enough for the people in the back: You matter. You belong. You are loved.
Don’t let the critics and cowards shake your spirit. As Dale Carnegie once said, “Any fool can criticize, condemn, and complain—and most fools do.” But this isn’t just foolishness—it’s dangerous. History teaches us what happens when people are othered, demonized, and dehumanized. That road leads straight to fascism. We’ve seen it before. We will not allow it again.
We must push back. We must show up for one another. We must stand united.
I recently spoke with someone who was struggling to understand the conversation around trans athletes. They said, “I support equal rights, but what about fairness in sports?” I responded with one word: equity. The science simply doesn’t support the fear-mongering. Other countries have already figured this out. And let’s not forget: trans women have been eligible to compete in the Olympics since 2004—and not one has made the team.
Besides, athletic advantages aren’t new. Some girls naturally produce more testosterone or less lactic acid, giving them an edge. Are we going to exclude them too? Where does that end?
It’s not our job to police identity. It’s our job to celebrate it.
We must continue to reject transphobia and all attempts to divide us. People Power is about lifting up every voice, defending every right, and reminding every person: You belong here.
Let’s not forget that the Equality Act—protecting LGBTQIA+ Americans from discrimination—passed the House under Speaker Pelosi in 2021. It hit a wall in the Senate thanks to Republicans Sinema and Manchin. Our rights are being held hostage by a few elitists clinging to power.
But we have power, too. People Power.
Let’s honor our LGBTQIA+ community not just with words, but with action:

Call your Senator (202) 224-3121 and tell them to pass the EQUALITY ACT and Markey and Jayapals Trans Bill of Rights
Let’s make “We the People” mean something real—for everyone.
Tell Congress: Vote NO on the SAVE ACT
We need your voice to help stop the dangerous SAVE Act — a bill that threatens to block millions of eligible Americans from registering and voting.
This harmful legislation would force voters to present strict proof of citizenship, like a passport or birth certificate, just to register or update their voter information.
That means millions of Americans — especially working-class families, seniors, women who’ve changed their names, and those who’ve lost documents in natural disasters — could be denied their fundamental right to vote.
Here’s how you can help:
Email your Member of Congress today and urge them to vote NO on the SAVE Act. It only takes a few minutes to protect democracy and defend the right to vote.
Let’s be clear: The SAVE Act isn’t about election security — it’s about voter suppression. It puts up needless roadblocks that silence voices and weaken our democracy.
Our democracy works best when everyone can participate.
Raise your voice today to help protect voting rights for all.
Click here to send a message to your member of Congress and tell them to VOTE NO on the SAVE ACT.
And then pick up the phone and give them a call 👇🏽
Thank you for standing up for freedom and democracy.

Call your Members of Congress at (202) 224-3121 and tell them:
In the United States, the rule of law is king—not Donald Trump. Every member of Congress must speak out against his attempts to undermine our courts and bypass the legal system and speak out against threats to our communities. It is critical to begin impeachment hearings immediately to investigate potential violations of the law, expose corruption, and address threats to national security. I also expect you to VOTE NO on the Save Act which will disenfranchise millions of voters.
