I believe in the power of the people. I have seen the love and determination of folks stepping up to write letters and postcards to voters, signing petitions and letter campaigns, making calls, sending texts, hitting doors, and dropping literature.

There is no power like that of the people, and I hope you will join us at People Power United to step up to protect our communities against any and all injustices.

We are in unprecedent times with greed and corruption harming folks in our community, but I am confident that we can and will rise above this challenge and work towards a community where all can vote and thrive.

Republicans in Congress (and their supporters) have no desire to help the American people or issues they care about.

With increasing mistrust in our communities, politicians on the right have sought to capitalize on the public’s fears by lashing out at the people who do not fall in line with their twisted views of racism, xenophobia, islamophobia, antisemitism, homophobia, misogyny, sizeism, ageism, ableism, elitism, and bigotry. 

Republicans in Congress (and their supporters) have no desire to help the American people or issues they care about.

Despite holding a majority in the US House of Representatives and sizable numbers in the US Senate, Congressional Republicans have not risen to the challenge for creating solutions to the issues of inflation, jobs and economic growth, gun safety, housing and health care affordability, social security and Medicare security, abortion rights, voting rights, educational reform, or climate change.

In fact, for the past few years, Republicans only have two things to show the American people: threats and sham investigations.

Republicans in Congress are now foolishly attempting to spend additional time and resources on an unfounded impeachment of President Joe Biden.

President Biden’s administration has actual receipts for the economy¹, inflation², health care³, and many other issues Americans care about. Has Joe done enough? Nope! No President has. 

There is still work to be done, and we can make progress on issues that folks care about, but we must work towards electing leaders to Congress who are dedicated to serving the American people. And we must seek out leaders that lead with courage, not fear.

We cannot wait until the next election cycle, we need to act now to protect our vote, our freedoms, and our voice in our democracy.
