The Power of Collective Action
Throughout history, real progress has come when ordinary people unite. The Civil Rights Movement, the Women’s Suffrage Movement, and labor strikes that won worker protections succeeded through collective action.
We are at another defining moment. Our rights, freedoms, and democracy are under attack. But history shows us the way forward: We need to organize and mobilize.
Our strategy is clear: Organize, mobilize, and take action to ensure that those in power represent the people, not special interests or authoritarian ambitions. We will speak out against injustice, show up in every way possible—from the streets to the ballot box—and build a movement strong enough to replace any leader who fails to serve the people’s interests. This is not just about one election or one moment; it’s about securing a future where freedom triumphs over fascism. Now is our time to rise.
The 3.5% Rule: Small Actions Create Big Change
Research shows that movements need about 3.5% of the population actively engaged to create real, lasting change. 1 That’s why we’re advocating to mobilize 10 million plus people in the next few weeks and months.
If each of us commits just 20 minutes a day, here’s the impact we can make:

Movements win through consistency, persistence, and collective action.
History Proves People Power Works
The Civil Rights Movement used boycotts, sit-ins, and marches to win the Civil Rights Act 1964. The Women’s Suffrage Movement spent decades organizing to secure voting rights in 1920. The United Farm Workers Strike (1965-1970), led by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, won fair wages and protections through strikes and boycotts.
These victories began with everyday people refusing to wait for someone else to act.

We must organize, mobilize, and refuse to let our democracy fall into the hands of a would-be dictator.
The fight for democracy is our fight.
I want to clarify that whenever People Power United uses the word "fight" in our writings, posts, or spoken word, we mean fiercely advocate—never to incite or support violence. We do not condone any form of violence, nor do we advocate for breaking any laws.
Our commitment is to peaceful advocacy through exercising our constitutional rights, including freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, peaceful rallies, protests, and acts of civil disobedience. We use these tools to defend our rights, freedoms, the rule of law, and democracy.
And together, we will win. Because when we fight together, we win together.

Call your Members of Congress at (202) 224-3121 and tell them:
In the United States, the rule of law is king—not Donald Trump. Every member of Congress must speak out against his attempts to undermine our courts and bypass the legal system. It is critical to begin impeachment hearings immediately to investigate potential violations of the law, expose corruption, and address threats to national security.
I would also ask that you speak out for the release of Mahmoud Kahlil a green card holder whose wife in 8 months pregnant and who was abducted by ICE without any charges or proof that he committed any crimes warranting his imprisonment. We are a nation of laws not thugs who evade accountability.

I just read that there is a plan evolving to organize a march on Washington, DC April 5th, starting at noon. They are asking every person who can attend to please go to DC and show our nation and the world that We, the anti fascists and pro- democracy/pro constitutional republic people of The United States are vast and are taking back our country. The ask is that we do whatever we can to attend this event.
