📢 This Is What People Power Looks Like: Fierce, Honest, Unafraid
Freedom is not passive. It's a daily act of advocacy. Of showing up. Of refusing to back down. Your voice is not just a drop in the ocean—it's a ripple that can make waves.

Friends, today I am sharing with you my story.
It's personal. It's painful.
It happened, and I moved on.
I want better for "My Why," and I want her always to know that her rights and freedoms matter, that her neighbors stood up for her, and that she will need to stand up for them one day. I want her to know we believed progress was possible and moved mountains to make it happen.
Why this, why now?
Because even as our freedoms and rights are under attack in states across the country, I still believe—with all my heart—that we are better than our worst days.
Lately, the headlines have focused on Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. But I want to remind folks: the real story is about the victims—the countless children and young adults brutalized and betrayed by a good old boys club that enabled unspeakable crimes. I want “My Why” to know that long before she came into my life, I was gang raped, but moved on. And I want her to know that in 2025 and 2026, we the people rose up, reclaimed our power, and demanded accountability from our leaders—and so much more.
We must center victims of rape in our advocacy to affirm their humanity, challenge rape culture, and ensure that justice prioritizes healing over protecting perpetrators.
As one survivor said:
"Some of the victims continue to be angry because many of the enablers and other people who participated in this have not been held accountable. And I think it's important for investigators, the FBI, and the Justice Department to continue to probe exactly how this happened and why, and then make improvements to the system so that it doesn't happen again."1
This is why this case matters. These survivors were harmed before—and now, by silencing them, we reopen their wounds and attack them again.
The victims deserve the truth. They deserve to know how:
Epstein operated a global sex trafficking scheme for years without consequence, preying on vulnerable teenage girls—many from unstable or broken homes.
They deserve to know who allowed it—and how:
"The documents showed a pattern of betrayal, by lawyers as well as state and federal prosecutors, who not only gave Epstein the deal but continued to ignore complaints against him, as well as his lawyers' attempts to intimidate the women he abused." 2
At People Power United, we don't shy away from the hard truths. Every day, we speak out on the issues others avoid. I get it—it's easier to post a meme or some fluff.
But I believe with everything in me that our fight for rights, freedoms, the rule of law, and democracy demands more. When we see something, we must say something.
We're in this mess because too many people looked away.
But I've got good news. Our good trouble is working. People Power is growing.
While others complain and panic about the future of America, we're organizing. We're building. I don't have a crystal ball about what will happen in the future, but I do know one thing:
Bad politicians are elected when good people don't speak up or show up.
And right now, we are seeing the consequences—a White House and a Supreme Court that's unhinged, and fascism knocking on our front door.
The people pushing fascism want us to give up. They don't want to represent us—they want to rule over us.
But freedom is not passive. It's a daily act of advocacy. Of showing up. Of refusing to back down.
Your voice is not just a drop in the ocean—it's a ripple that can make waves.
Let's rise together.
Let's speak the hard truths.
Let's center the survivors.
Let's hold the enablers accountable.

She's right, too many people just look away, too many in authority are either bullied into submission or are as corrupt, or maybe the same person's, as the abusers of both others and the system. We need to stop looking the other way and fight.
NO! NO MORE! Too many of us have pushed through !
