Stop Kash Patel's Appointment: Contact Your Senator Now
The appointment of an FBI Director is one of the most consequential decisions a president can make. The FBI protects the American people from crime, terrorism, and national security threats. This agency must remain independent and committed to justice, not the political ambitions of any one individual. Yet, Kash Patel, Donald Trump's nominee for FBI Director, is a threat to this institution's integrity and our country's safety. Patel is profoundly unqualified, dangerously partisan, and would weaponize the FBI for political retribution.
The Senate must reject his nomination, and every American should act now to demand their senators vote NO.
Patel Has No Experience for the Job
The FBI Director must be a seasoned law enforcement professional with deep experience handling complex criminal and national security matters. Patel is neither. He has never held a senior law enforcement position, nor has he ever been confirmed by the Senate for any high-level role. Even former Trump administration officials who worked closely with Patel have stated that he is "profoundly unqualified" to lead American law enforcement. A position as critical as that of an FBI Director cannot be entrusted to someone with no background in criminal investigations, counterintelligence, or law enforcement leadership.
Patel Has a History of Endangering National Security
Patel's actions while serving in the prior Trump administration prove that he prioritizes loyalty to Trump over national security. He endangered the lives of American service members by interfering in a SEAL Team Six operation. He also bypassed experts on Russia and Ukraine to influence Trump's response to his first impeachment scandal, ignoring critical intelligence and expert advice. Most recently, an FBI whistleblower came forward with shocking allegations that Patel compromised the rescue of two American hostages held by Iranian-backed militants in Yemen. His reckless actions have put lives at risk, and allowing him to lead the FBI would make every American less safe.
Patel Would Turn the FBI Into Trump's Political Weapon
Patel's blind loyalty to Trump is not just a concern but a direct threat to democracy. In a chilling interview with Steve Bannon, Patel vowed that the Trump administration would "come after the people in the media who lied about American citizens who helped Joe Biden rig presidential elections." This is not the language of a law enforcement professional—it is the language of an authoritarian enforcer. His stated intent to use the FBI to target journalists and critics while shielding Trump and his wealthy allies is a direct attack on the First Amendment and the rule of law. The FBI must be independent, not a tool for political persecution.
Patel Has a Troubling History of Foreign Entanglements
Patel's financial ties and foreign dealings further disqualify him. Since his confirmation hearing, it has been revealed that Patel accepted millions of dollars in stock from Shein's parent company—a corporation notorious for child labor, alleged slave labor, and ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Additionally, Patel worked as a consultant for the government of Qatar but failed to register as a foreign agent, which was a serious legal violation. If that weren't enough, Patel has also been paid by a Russian filmmaker with ties to the Kremlin who has promoted anti-Western propaganda. These conflicts of interest should disqualify anyone from holding a position of power, let alone the directorship of the FBI.

Patel's nomination is not just a bad choice but a dire threat to the rule of law, national security, and American democracy. The FBI needs leadership committed to upholding the Constitution, not a partisan loyalist who would use the bureau to attack political enemies and protect Trump's inner circle. The Senate can reject this dangerous nomination, but they need to hear from you.

Someone asked me recently if I was afraid of retaliation and here is my response:
The day we hide in fear is the day we live every waking moment in fear.
I don't know what the convicted felon president Trump and organized crime boss will do, but I will not live in fear. I will speak out, show up, and build power to replace him and his cult, the MAGA Republicans and naughty Democrats in Congress that are supporting his efforts to empower Putin and Elon Musk by cheering them on or sitting idly by and doing nothing.
You have to choose what is best for you: live in fear and be silent (which is complicit) or speak out, show up, and help us build power.
Above all, as a mom, wife, and community member, I fear losing our rights, freedoms, democracy, and the rule of law far more than anything else. That’s why I refuse to stay silent—I will push back against corruption without hesitation. And if you need proof of my determination, here’s the moment right before I did my first act of civil disobedience, standing up for our Dreamers and DACA kids.
