I'm reading your headlines about the importance of People Power and the need to Get Money Out of the Elections: "The dominance of big money in politics isn’t just a problem—it’s an opportunity for grassroots action. Did you know that if everyone who didn’t vote for Trump in 2024 chipped in just $10 to a movement that champions progress and power to the people, it would equal the total donations from the wealthiest individuals and organizations supporting Trump?

This highlights an important truth: the collective power of everyday people is immense."

But do you notice what you aren't doing there? You aren't getting money out of the elections. You're just making the point that if "everyone who didn’t vote for Trump in 2024 chipped in just $10 to a movement that champions progress and power to the people, it would equal the total donations from the wealthiest individuals and organizations supporting Trump?" In other words, just suggesting that if only everyone gave a small amount - and of course for some even just $10 is NOT a small amount, and of course right away you know that some percentage of this group is definitely not going to contribute - but the real point is that you're not proposing an alternative to getting money out of politics. You're just suggesting a way, unlikely at best, that "our" side could put in as much money is the uber wealthy.

I do not have an answer here. And as much as I'd like to, neither do I have the time or the energy in my own life to take all this on. But I just wanted to make the point that for at least some of the arguments that you're putting forward, it's clear that you don't have the answers either. I absolutely agree that we need to figure out a way to get money out of elections. But all of us putting more money into the election does not do that.

That is a lie. No one is advocating for people to donate $10. That amount was used to show the the power of the people. What is suggested is for people to use their vote, engage in activism, or contributing small amounts to candidates who reflect their values to help get money out of politics.
