"Woe to the shepherds who lead their flocks astray!" It's been very evident that the American Catholic Church's stance is strongly aligned with the MAGA agenda that's shockingly based on hate/violence against man, the environment/climate. This has allowed the Church to obtain substantial monetary payout from its Conservative donor base for their silence. This is a huge betrayal to Jesus' ministry and His most important teaching "to love your neighbor as yourself."
What a magnificent essay on the rights of migrants and refugees, the first part of this newsletter. I just checked for you on Medium and you posted once a number of years ago. I feel strongly about this essay and want as many people as possible to read it - but without everything else that you add to the posting. It should/must be on Medium so it can reach ever more people. I truly hope you will do that. The balance of your posting here can be split into two, perhaps three, postings by themselves.
I also mourn the absence of Catholic clergy from inter faith multi racial press conferences, actions at legislatures, and from the Poor People’s Campaign.

The Pope has spoken out on Many issues But I haven't heard him tell the Catholic Bishops and Cardinals
to STOP BEING POLITICAL AND GO BACK TO JESUS. MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA
