You are ahead of me.... I have been arrested for civil disobedience nine times over the years. I think it is an important tool in the work for resistance and change. I am looking for groups that will do organized campaign of non violent civil disobedience as part of their change work.
America is in for the fight for its existence!!! Trump and his gang of THUGS OR Democracy..... No one will escape the pain and every time and in every place it happens it needs to be DOCUMENTED and BLASTED everywhere. Do NOT let any BAD thing go unreported. AND as the pain gets to the Trump supporters, as it will - they can be as smug as they want now - but they will NOT escape it, remind them that THIS what you voted for - NOW get to work with the rest of America who will NEVER accept this tyranny and FIX THIS!!!! There is ALWAYS a Reckoning!!!!!!!!!!!
Laurie, what you have said and done struck a chord with me. You know I’ve been with you, albeit it on and off, for the past several years. This election broke me, and my husband and I agreed I needed to take some time away from politics, but I will always be with you in some capacity as we move forward into this nightmare. I appreciate you for your courage and commitment. At my age, I’m feeling I’m losing some strength emotionally, but I will be here still, whispering in the background, until I feel I can hit the accelerator once again. God bless you for all you do.
In many ways Project 2025 has been in existence, it is depicted in the many roads that Republicans, presidents, congressional public servants have misled the voters to get elected, then they sell their souls at the door of Congress and become sycophants to decision makers are higher levels. The history is there for anyone who wants to know the truth, simply research it. Look up your representative or senator's time in congress, state or Federal. Each Legislative body in any state records their historic actions in serving their constituents. And the Federal government does the same. The reader of these articles can learn simply by researching their representatives before or after, their time of service. I have been voting since President Johnson and have never missed an election, state, local county, or PTA. Everything that has occurred in my lifetime is a matter of public record. No need for me to enter details. The only other thing I can say is that the Eisenhower Republicans would never have allowed the unethical-corrupt and mouthy Trump to enter and destroy the party.
Now, don't get me wrong, some Democrats have also failed their constituents but at least, they voted to protect the safety net that has been in existence since 1935.

This is turning darker by the day by a criminal organization by epic proportions and they want to steal Snap, Medicare,Medicade, etc. To pay for corporate welfare for Musk and alike and put Musk in charge of his own Welfare scheme. I had 2grown sons but lost both years apart due to lack of health care and my eldest son who died a couple of yrs ago and he had many health problems but when he died was so loaded with cancer he collapsed on the floor for his small children to see and died . He couldn't get healthcare and had a pile of past medical bills so even at a so called free hospital or ER, they demanded payments on balances of hospital stays before you could be seen. He was supposed to have 13surgeries due to an accident but all the dr. Were subcontracted so each dr. Demanded tens of thousands down first before they would even begin + they left gauze, rubber bands in his sinus cavity that caused major staff infections until yrs later we were told after he almost died 4seperate times that they would donate their time to operate and close up some holes left behind to help with these constant infections. It worked. But all the bills piled up to where when he was hurting so bad , he couldn't go anywhere so he died of agony with cancer spread everywhere. Now I live in a red state and its not going to get any better here. But the bright spot is sunlight and its the best to bring these horrific stories to light. Gov. Dunleavy is so onboard with scam BS of bitcoin that he approved the up and running test container in the arctic run by the biggest polluter natural gas . Now he wants to put in bigger units to warm up everything because trump is rolling back all protections so these wreckless mining, oil + gas are going run havoc on the north slope + beyond. They are doing mineral testing as we speak . A climate expert just wrote an article about the fact that the Bitcoin operation being ran by natural gas because bitcoin uses extreme amounts of energy, this is one of the worst ways for our planet but these guys + Dunleavy don't give a damn! Now I sign every petition that comes my way . I do what I can , I have tried to make calls but with nerve damage in my face , I get hung up on cuz people assume I'm drinking so its signing petitions . we are in for serious times but just know we in numbers are harder to remove from society then a single person. Sorry this is so long but by god, this news letter is very important and thank you! Keep up great work !
I am so sorry for your loss and the harm your family has encountered. I am also profoundly grateful at your activism. You could of given up but you continue. Every little bit helps. Keep holding our wayward leaders accountable and keep making good trouble!
The way you live, what you buy, what you use, these are all demonstrations. How old are you? I am 74. I've never been arrested, but I've bailed several people out of jail. I've been shot at, beaten, and tear gassed more times than I can count. (Berkeley in the Sixties!) My husband and I are very careful about what we buy and who produces it. Unfortunately, everything is a political act. I have never even had a cell phone. I remember when the FBI steamed open letters! And now I've started writing letters again...
I have been through so much harassment and abuse through the years due to being serious about ethical living. I am old now,and often feel a bit burned out, but I am working on being stronger again.I am so grateful that we care to SHINE with heart and soul power. Keep shining dear one UNITED WE STAND.
Without change there is no change. But the change rained down on us by a corporately corrupted media, government and elitist 1% and their poster boy djt and his ilk is as large a threat to out nation, people and governance as ever imaginable. The 14th Amendment NEEDS to be enforced. His IPSO FACTO insurrection and indifference to the atrocities suffered by law enforcement on 1/6 were clear and concise. He should NEVER have been allowed to run for office or gotten near the White House in the first place.
Unfortunately the enforcement mechanism for the 14th amendment was the courts and they failed us. I don't see any way that they will step forward now to enforce it since Trump was elected by a majority of voters.
You are an exemplary Warrior. And most importantly, you have a the Heart that so many are missing today. Thanks for this post and especially your voice and actions! You inspire!
