Hello everyone! Just a reminder: this week we're sharing live daily briefings on our Substack newsletter at 9am and 6pm Eastern. Yesterday we discussed reclaiming our power and today was about maximizing our impact at a protest or rally. Check out the video above for tips.

If you are organizing a rally or protest:

Here is what I sent one of our members looking to organize an event:

Congratulations on exercising your freedom of speech and assembly—powerful tools for driving change. I recommend sending regular updates to all your invitees as the event approaches. Here’s a sample message for your next update:

Hello everyone,

This is [Your Name] with a reminder that we are gathering for a rally (I prefer to use rally over protest) in front of the - on Wednesday, February 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM (your time zone). The location is [address details], with side street parking available. The area is fully accessible for wheelchairs and walkers.

Please note that while we have not secured a permit, we are exercising our right to peacefully march on public sidewalks. Our route will remain clear for pedestrian traffic, and we expect all participants to refrain from bringing drugs or weapons while upholding local laws to ensure a peaceful, impactful event.

If any individuals attempt to disrupt the rally by recording, shouting, or engaging with you, please remain composed. We suggest using whistles or cowbells to gently deter any disturbances; our focus must remain on our cause. Disruptors seeking confrontation will be ignored, and our chants will continue to amplify our message.

Bring your homemade signs (for example, “Elon is Destroying Our Country” or a similarly clear message) and be ready to share your story. We will have bullhorns on hand to project our collective voice, weather and sound ordinances permitting.

Please uplift this event by sharing your photos and videos on social media and using the hashtag #powertothepeople or whatever you want

The event is scheduled from 8:00 to 9:00 PM. Please bring water and snacks as needed, and note that nearby restroom facilities are limited. [Alternatively, provide directions to the nearest public restroom.]

In closing, let’s make this rally a powerful and respectful demonstration. We will practice responsible recycling by not littering and by collecting canned goods for the local food pantry.

Thank you for your support. I look forward to seeing you there. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [your email address]. Best regards, [Your Name]

📢 We're fighting fascism, and this is how we reclaim our power! 💥

Grassroots activism is a powerful force that can shape the direction of a nation.

Many of us can do one or two simple things a day for advocacy, but we need more people taking action.

The longer the power of the people stays on the sideline, the stronger Trump, Musk, and Putin grow.

If we want to protect the future of this country, we must double down on our organizing efforts to build people power in every city and every state in our nation.

We must show up, speak out, and build power to replace these corrupt politicians.

By taking action, holding leaders accountable, and advocating for dignity, respect, and opportunity for all, we can build an America that lives up to the values of liberty and justice for all, just the wealthy, powerful, or privileged.

Here are some ways we can take action:

  1. We will resist through rallies, protests, general strikes, boycotts, and 198 acts of civil disobedience, targeting anyone who enables or attacks our communities with oppression, injustice, hatred, and bigotry.

  2. We will speak out, show up, and build power.

      3. Organize to Build Power Through Direct Relationships

      4. Build coalition contacts
