The strength of a nation is not its ability to fight wars but rather its ability to prevent them. - Gene Roddenberry
Hey everyone! Just checking in—how are you doing? Please drop me a note below and let me know if you're taking breaks and how you're staying engaged in the fight for the people!
I hope you're joining us next week to build out your state teams, attending our monthly meetups, jumping in on letters and postcards to voters (Wisconsin letters just dropped today!), and taking every opportunity to show up, speak out, and build power.
Yesterday, someone reached out, disappointed that I used the phrase "we are at war." I get it—no one wants to believe our country is facing that kind of reality. But here’s the truth: war isn’t just fought with traditional weapons. Acts of war can take many forms—economic, cyber, psychological, and political.
Tyrants don’t need bullets and bombs to wage war against their own people; they use oppression, control, and manipulation to achieve the same devastating effects.
Right now, we are witnessing deliberate and calculated economic attacks on our communities, our livelihoods, and our ability to thrive. This isn't just bad policy—it's an orchestrated assault designed to keep working families struggling while the wealthy elite rake in record profits.
The list is extensive of harms caused by 34-time convicted felon President—but not a leader—Donald Trump, along with MAGA Republicans and some complicit Democrats, and they continue to impact our communities. Every day this week, I will break down the various ways they are affecting our daily lives.
Here is the economic attack we are experiencing and how it’s happening:
🔻 Wage Suppression – While the cost of living skyrockets, wages remain stagnant, forcing millions into economic dependency. This isn’t an accident—it’s a tactic to keep power concentrated in the hands of the few.
🔻 Union-Busting & Worker Exploitation – The administration has stacked key positions with anti-union officials and championed “right-to-work” laws, which strip workers of their collective bargaining power. Without strong unions, wages are driven down, benefits are slashed, and protections vanish.
🔻 Mass Layoffs & Economic Uncertainty – In early 2025, the administration initiated mass layoffs of federal employees, slashing jobs under the guise of cutting the budget by $1 trillion. Tens of thousands of workers lost their livelihoods, flooding the job market and suppressing wages across entire industries.
🔻 Stealing Overtime Pay – In 2019, Trump’s Labor Department rewrote overtime rules, denying 8.2 million workers the extra pay they deserved. That’s money stolen directly from hardworking Americans, handed back to corporations.
🔻 The Great Corporate Giveaway – The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act was sold as a win for workers, but in reality, it slashed corporate taxes while doing little to nothing for wages. Profits soared, CEOs pocketed millions, and working families were left behind. And now, Trump and MAGA Republicans are doubling down—once again trying to steal from veterans, seniors, the sick, and working families to bankroll more tax cuts for their billionaire donors.
🔻 Blocking a Living Wage – Trump and his enablers have repeatedly opposed meaningful increases to the federal minimum wage, claiming it would hurt small businesses. The truth? Keeping wages low benefits corporate elites while forcing millions of Americans to work multiple jobs just to survive.
This is an economic attack on America—an intentional, systemic attack on working people. If we don’t push back and fiercely advocate for our communities, they will continue to strip away our financial security, crush our rights, and hand over our hard-earned wealth to the ultra-rich. It’s time to demand fair wages, protect worker rights, and stop the economic sabotage of American families. Are you with us?

📢 We're fighting fascism, and this is how we reclaim our power! 💥
Grassroots activism is a powerful force that can shape the direction of a nation.
Many of us can do one or two simple things a day for advocacy, but we need more people taking action.
The longer the power of the people stays on the sideline, the stronger Trump, Musk, and Putin grow.
If we want to protect the future of this country, we must double down on our organizing efforts to build people power in every city and every state in our nation.
We must show up, speak out, and build power to replace these corrupt politicians.
By taking action, holding leaders accountable, and advocating for dignity, respect, and opportunity for all, we can build an America that lives up to the values of liberty and justice for all, not just the wealthy, powerful, or privileged.
Here are some ways we can take action:
We will resist through rallies, protests, general strikes, boycotts, and 198 acts of civil disobedience, targeting anyone who enables or attacks our communities with oppression, injustice, hatred, and bigotry.
We will speak out, show up, and build power.
